Clear guides on how tradelines work, how we vet every Tradeline Partner, and how credit reporting actually fits together.

What Are Tradelines

A tradeline is simply an account that appears on a credit report. Here is what that means in plain language, without the jargon.

The basics

A tradeline is any credit account listed on a credit report — for example a credit card or a loan. Each one carries details like the balance, the limit, and the payment record.

Authorized-user tradelines

An authorized user is added to someone else's existing account, and that account's history can then appear on the authorized user's credit report. That is the type of tradeline our marketplace deals with.

What tradelines are not

Tradelines are not a credit-repair service and not a promise of any particular result. They are one part of a credit report, and how reporting works is up to the lenders and bureaus involved.
